Library Open Tuesday, October 14, 2024

After an initial assessment of the Sanibel Public Library building and grounds, all systems have been restored and are operational. The Library will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, October 14, 2024.

The Library's business hours have been temporarily adjusted to Monday - Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Beginning Monday, October 28, 2024, the Library will return to normal business hours:

Monday and Thursday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Whether you are stopping by to use the WiFi or computer lab, book a study room, check out a hotspot, charge your electronic devices, or just take a break from the heat, we invite community members to come to the Library - we are here to assist with your resource needs! All user fees have been waived during the time of the closure, there will be no overdue fines assessed, and items placed on hold have remained on hold.

If you have Library items that were damaged because of Hurricane Milton, fees will be waived. Please reach out and provide the titles of the items damaged by emailing reference@sanlib.org or calling the Library at (239) 472-2483.
