Just beyond the high tide line lies an area on the upper beaches where vegetation first begins to appear. While some of these plants may appear as simple weeds to the common eye, many have a rich history of uses in cultures from both near and far. Join Matt Gindling for a look at some of the most common plants you may see while strolling down the beaches of Sanibel and learn why they are so important to the island.
