Program Description

Event Details

There are seven different species of sea (or marine) turtles, and they need protection. All species of sea turtle are classified as endangered, and CROW is the only licensed sea turtle facility in between Sarasota, FL and Marathon, FL. In 2021, CROW admitted 109 sea turtles for various reasons like injuries from boat strikes and washback hatchlings. This presentation will teach about the different types of sea turtles seen here in Southwest Florida and the actions humans can take to protect these majestic creatures. Presented by Care and Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).
