Program Description

Event Details

Patton's Lorraine campaign encompasses the operations of the U.S. Third Army in the Lorraine region of eastern France from September 1 through December 18, 1944. Operationally, the Lorraine campaign includes the assaults across the Moselle and Sauer Rivers and the push to the German frontier during the first half of December 1944. The forts around Metz saw some of the most vicious fighting of the war. The tank battles at Arracourt and Luneville  were costly to both sides. Join Duane E. Shaffer for a discussion of this important campaign.
