Event Details
Ted Spencer is a Curator Emeritus of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the Museum Curator for 27 years (1982-2009) the last 11 as Vice President and Chief Curator. On Memorial Day, 1995, The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum opened a two-year exhibit detailing Baseball’s involvement in the World War ll effort. The exhibit covered: The Call to Action (the MLB ballplayers who served from late 1941 thru 1945); Baseball’s efforts on the Homefront; Baseball at the front; and the effect of the war on the future of The Game.
