F.I.S.H. Volunteers from FGCU will be available at the Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 26 to distribute F.I.S.H. Long-Term Recovery applications to those who need financial assistance to rebuild. The application is available to anyone who lives or works on Sanibel and Captiva. 

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of all people in Sanibel and Captiva with social services, education and assistance. Since Hurricane Ian, the organization has been offering long-term disaster recovery assistance in addition to programs that represent their major pillars — Food, Island-Based Education, Social and Senior Services, and Helping Hands. 

Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is a public university in Lee County, Florida near Fort Myers. It is part of the State University System of Florida.
