The history of Sanibel is kept in Washington DC, at two different locations, the National Archives and the Library of Congress. This program will provide information on how Sanibel's history is kept, from over 150 years ago, up to the present. Information about the design and building of the lighthouse that has been cataloged and stored in several places in DC. Ken will talk about the process of finding and looking at the hundred of  letters, drawings, maps and photograph that are not available on line yet.
