Event Details

In 1914 Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and naturalist John Burroughs set out on a camping trip in the Everglades. The following year they were joined by Harvey Firestone. Their camping trips would continue until 1925 and range as far north as New Hampshire. Holly Shaffer of the Edison-Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers chronicles their journeys.
