Why Poetry Matters

To celebrate National Poetry Month, join Vicky Lettman for an informal discussion about the relevance and enjoyment of poetry today. You’re welcome to bring a favorite poem to share or recite. Attendees may even have some fun trying to write a poem!
Each person will receive his/her own poem-in-a-pocket to take home or pass along.
All are welcome.

Vicky Lettmann is a retired college English teacher and writer who, with her husband John, spends winters in Sanibel and summers in Minnesota. Her most recent publication is a poetry collection, What Can Be Saved (Redbird Chapbooks). Her essay, “Dolls, Death, and Pleasing Decay,” appeared in Minerva Rising (Spring 2019).
